Starting the night with Haiden Henderson who walked into the stage looking like that is exactly where he belonged. Despite many not knowing Haiden at the start he was able to captivate the fans throughout his set. With amazing melodies, vocals and energy Haiden won over the heart of the fans who had made their way to the show early enough to catch his set. Visuals complimented each song making the performance look more elevated and interesting. Cheers erupted after every song and the fans were locked in on the action on the stage.

After a cover of Lady Gaga’s poker face, which the crowd was more than happy to sing along for you could see fans standing from their seats to dance along to Haidens tunes. But what really drove the crowd crazy was his interaction with his guitar/base player.

Having mentioned that how he was inspired by 5sos and how he learned to write music by listening to the bands album Haiden seemed like the perfect opener for the show.

Bringing Melodic pop-rock vibe not to dissimilar to some fo the bands earlier tracks.

Haiden was then followed by South Arcade who despite having a completely different sound prepared fans for the performance they were about to experience. With a bit of a more rock sound than Haiden both openers prepared the fans for the rollercoaster of sounds and emotions they were about to experience during the 5sos set.

5sos came on the stage setting up for their best performance yet. The whole night revolved around a News show that guided the fans through different stages of the band. Despite visual being planned 5 seconds of summer made it seem like the show was especially made for that night. With elements referring directly to London and experiences the band has had in the city. 5 seconds of summer managed a perfect balance of new songs and nostalgic tracks that would make it an amazing any fan attending the show.  They sang songs from every single one of their albums while staying true to their current album and also sprinkling a little from their solo projects. The setlist was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions, energy and excitement with the band jokingly admitting they knew the fans get most excited when they play the older songs.

The band seemed nostalgic about being back in the o2 arena and spent some time reminiscing on living in the city, growing up in the city but especially being able to share moments with fans in different venues or even on the way to the show like Ashton did last year when he went to their banquet show on the train with some fans. With lights, star shaped and colorful confetti, an amazing line up it was truly a night fans wouldn’t forget.

But this shows real star were the fans, with every element thought out to give them a full experience and getting them to feel closer to the band than ever. The PIT in the middle of the stage gave fans the chance to be close at all times and a lucky fan even got to hand the band the “best band award”. Fans were given dolls representing the band members crowd surfing right before the screen showed them having gotten hurt from the activity. Giant balls flew through the crowd so that everyone felt involved and the band even walked through the crowd as they came back for their encore.
