American singer-songwriter Casey Frazier has released his latest track Easy. Despite being relatively new to his music myself, I must say that from the very first listen I was overcome by a wave of emotion, as this is such a raw track which really strikes at the core of the heart especially when it comes to those tender and sometimes vulnerable vibes.
Sometimes we can carry those deep rooted and poignant thoughts and feelings close to our chest, forever wondering if we are the only ones to experience the tricks of our inner subconscious, so when Casey Frazier comes along with a song like Easy, it provides a cathartic outlet.
Easy may feel a little close to the bone, it’s actually that boldness to swim close to the scars and internal struggles, and in doing so providing an inspiring layer of strength, because it is a invitation to ourselves to not be so fearful and just be candidly honest with the way we feel.
Casey’s style reminds me of so many other influential musicians and songwriters such as Mumford and Sons and also Kelly Jones from iconic UK band, Stereophonics. It may sound like an abstract thing to say, with music being a way to document the human experiences of life, when done in a safe way like Casey has done, sometimes taking us to that place of darkness is needed inorder for us to start the process of starting to let the light shine in.
Easy is a song to make you think and feel, and if you haven’t already make sure you give it a listen as soon as possible. Available on all major platforms right now!
