X LOVERS ANNOUNCE NEW TRACK 'MAD WORLD' AND FORTHCOMING EP
LISTEN/EMBED: MAD WORLD
Pop duo/band X Lovers announce their second EP, Mad World, will be released this Autumn via Visionary Records/RCA Records. Over the course of the next few months, various tracks from the EP will be released with the final track culminating on EP release day.
To celebrate today’s announcement the band releases the first track and accompanied lyric video, also titled Mad World. The track features the lyrics from vocalist and songwriter London and production from Jacob.
X Lovers says of the album, “Being young right now is incredibly intense, for better and for worse. Right now, there's so much possibility with experiencing things for the first time. At the same time, it's hard to deny or ignore how heavy the state of the world is right now. We're the first generation ever that climate change and environmental issues can actually have a serious effect on. That's an insane reality and where this project stems from.”
Last year, the duo released their virgin EP which has received nearly 20 million streams worldwide. Earlier this year, the guys were touring the US with Tate McRae and Chelsea Cutler which saw them playing 2 sold out shows at NYC’s Terminal 5, Los Angeles’ Moroccan Lounge as well as cities including Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin and many more.
X Lovers is a pop duo/band from Northern California. After forming their first punk band at age 10 together, London and Jacob (both 21) have been collaborating as a team since their teenage years. London, who is the vocalist and drives most of the songwriting, works in conjunction with Jacob who produces all of their records. After creating a highly dedicated fan base across their hometown of Nevada City and Northern California, the two best friends moved to Los Angeles to master their craft. Citing Green Day and Kanye West as their biggest influences, X Lovers are currently working on music and preparing for their first official major label release via Visionary Records/RCA Records.
