In a small Brixton kitchen back in 2011, two friends set out to make burgers the honest way but also simple, British, and built around great ingredients. That’s how Honest Burgers began: with a love for local produce, handmade chips, and a promise to keep things real. What started as one tiny restaurant has grown into a nationwide favourite, but their passion for quality, craft, and flavour has never changed.
This October, Honest Burgers are serving up their latest seasonal special, the Big Bacon, now available until 17th November.
The latest special is in collaboration with Blackwell & Co, a family-owned master butcher and curer from the north of England. This will be Honest’s bacon-iest burger yet. Made with extra-thick British pork belly, seasoned with a French-style cure, smoked low and slow over oak and beech, and finished with a homemade maple syrup glaze. It’s rich, meaty, and slightly sweet, topped with double American cheese, confit garlic dijonnaise, white onion and pickles (or lettuce and pickles for the fried chicken version).
The Big Bacon is an absolute flavour bomb: smoky, sweet, and irresistibly rich.
The thick-cut pork belly melts in your mouth, perfectly balanced by the tang of pickles and the creamy dijonnaise. Each bite layers juicy meat with molten American cheese for pure comfort-food bliss.
The maple glaze adds just the right touch of sweetness to the deep, savoury smoke.
It’s indulgent, perfectly crafted, and easily one of Honest’s best specials yet.
From the first sizzle to the last bite, the Big Bacon celebrates what Honest Burgers do best: honest food, made right, with flavour that speaks for itself.
