From the moment we entered the lobby at the venue in the ExCel London (Royal Docks), it all felt very, VERY REAL - we truly felt like participants gearing up for something big. The welcome team greeted us, handed us our bibs and wristbands, and the set-design pulled us in immediately: the dormitory block, the neon lighting, the giant red guards looming overhead ...
What we LOVED
The Red Light, Green Light game was genuinely tense. When the doll mentiones "red light" twice in a row, you felt your pulse spike. It wasn’t just photo-op; the timing mattered and you stopped. That got our hearts racing right away.
The set-pieces were superb. The “Memory Steps” / glass bridge challenge had dazzling lighting and the illusion of risk, even though it was safe. Walking across made you feel like you were literally stepping on glass over a void. I lost straigtht away
After the games, the Korean-inspired Night Market was a fun bonus: snacks, bubble tea, themed merchandise — a great way to unwind and celebrate the fact you survived.
The staff (at least the ones we had) were enthusiastic and funny. Their energy added a lot.

It wasn’t just a set of mini-games. It felt like an event. The pacing, the build-up (entering the dorm, moving from room to room, the announcer voice), the photo opportunities. Everything had been designed with fan-attention to detail. Even if you weren’t a huge fan of the original show, you’d still feel you’d entered something cool.
