The latest version launches today with Colombian singer and producer Camilo and completes the These Cities Project released next week on 10th July.
“This song is one of those hard-to-find treasures and being part of it was a challenge for me. When I first sang it, I knew I needed it. Thank you so much Sam.” Said Camilo about collaborating on the hit song.
Hailing from Medellin, Colombia, Camilo is a globally successful singer, musician, producer and songwriter. His debut album “Por Primera Vez” has now amassed over 2.2 Billion streams, and is platinum across South America, the USA and certified gold in Spain. His talent is incomparable, having previously written smash hits for Becky G, Natti Natasha and Bad Bunny, amongst many others, as well as his own international singles like “Tutu” featuring Shakira, Pedro Capo and “Desconocidos” with Mau y Ricky and Manuel Turizo. Boasting over 1 Billion YouTube views, and 17M monthly listeners, Camilo continues to rise, and add to his global success.
Discussing the collection of collaborations, Sam says; “The ‘These Cities Project’ is my way of thanking everyone for giving me the life I have now through their love and support of the song. I wanted to bring together artists from different cities across the world who I love and have them put their own experience/perspective into the second verse. I’ve received so many incredible messages about what This City means to people and so it’s my hope that with each version, you’ll be able to see and feel yourself in them.”
Australian born Sam Fischer first introduced himself with his Not A Hobby EP and has garnered incredible attention through his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. Touring North America with his friend Lewis Capaldi, he wowed crowds with his buoyant personality and pure love and talent for song-writing. Now based in LA, he not only has received acclaim for his own work, but he continues to solidify his spot as one of the hottest current writers, having worked with global pop superstars including Ciara, Louis Tomlinson, Jessie J and many more.
However, it hasn’t all been plain sailing for Sam, who endured his own heartache to achieve his dreams. With the promise of a recording contract in the bag, he left his parents and new wife behind in Australia and set off to LA only for the deal to be pulled away. After months of couch-surfing and struggling to keep his marriage alive across two continents, he finally and deservedly received his break and This City is just the amazing start of an exciting new chapter in Sam’s career.
