Charlie Floyd is ready to make his mark in 2025 with the release of his debut single, ‘Do It Again’, dropping on Friday 7th March. A euphoric, guitar-driven anthem built for long summer nights and windows-down road trips, the track is a bold statement of intent from an artist who is set to take the UK music scene by storm.

“The song’s essence comes from chasing the dragon of nostalgia,” Floyd explains. “I’ve tried to capture that feeling in so many songs before, and this was the first time I landed it exactly how I wanted. The combination of melody, lyrics, and production all fell into place. It’s a song that means a lot to me because it was the first I wrote under ‘Charlie Floyd’ after signing with my management. It felt like a fresh start and a real moment of personal achievement.”
From Home Studio to London’s Dean Street
The track’s infectious energy and polished production are a testament to Floyd’s meticulous creative process. Writing and recording from his home studio, he constructs his songs layer by layer, meticulously shaping their sonic landscapes.
“I love the Frankenstein process of songwriting—piecing together parts until everything clicks,” he says. “For Do It Again, I started with a guitar riff, then built the track organically. When I had the full picture, I knew it was special.”
To bring the track to its fullest potential, Floyd teamed up with acclaimed producer Charlie Russell (Kasabian, Liam Gallagher, Jake Bugg) at Dean Street Studios in Soho, London. The collaboration brought a new depth to the song while keeping its raw essence intact.
“Charlie Russell and I clicked straight away,” Floyd recalls.
“As fellow Geordies in the capital, he understood my sound and vision immediately. Some of the drums and vocals you hear on the final version were actually recorded in my house the night I wrote it. Charlie recognised the authenticity in those early takes and made sure we kept them—it was all about preserving that moment.”
With Do It Again setting the tone, 2025 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for Floyd, who has an exciting run of live performances lined up to introduce audiences to his unique blend of pop-infused guitar music.

“This year is about bringing my music to as many people as possible,” says Floyd. “The Think Tank headline show is going to be huge, but the Robbie Williams support slot is something special. It’s a surreal moment after years of working towards this.”

With a debut EP in the works, Floyd’s 2025 is all about pushing boundaries, refining his signature sound, and making a lasting impact.
“What I have coming next is fresh, exciting, and unlike anything I’ve done before,” he teases. “The EP is groove-driven, experimental, and completely authentic to me. I want people to feel something real when they hear it.”
His ultimate vision? To take his music to a global audience, collaborating with some of the industry’s most innovative artists and producers while maintaining his integrity as a songwriter and performer.
“This is just the beginning,” Floyd added. “If Do It Again is the introduction, then 2025 is the year I prove exactly what I can do.”
