It has forever been on my bucket list, but this monthly I finally had the privilege of being invited to the opening of the British Grand Prix in Silverstone. Taking place between 3rd-6th July 2025, the British Grand Prix brings together the creme de la creme of the biggest names in racing as they gear up for an intense few days in the lead up to making their impact on the Silverstone track.

For racing fans, the festivities are also an opportunity to come face to face from some of their favourite competitors, as well as discover some of the innovative ways that Formula 1 is leading the way in innovation and inclusion such as putting the spotlight on more female representation in the sport.

So with this being my first ever visit to the home of British racing, you are probably wondering what I got upto and what to expect especially if you are considering going in the future myself. I will be clear I don’t claim to be an absolute expert when it comes to Formula 1 (or any other kind of sport for that matter), but even through fresh eyes as a newbie, I was still able to appreciate the splendour of the world I was stepping into.

When arriving onto site, the excitement of seeing all the official signage was at an all time high, and of course taking my phone out to take a quick selfie of any Silverstone signage I could see haha! Through the gates and into the main arena it felt I had stepped into the Disney World of International Racing - a sheer hub of activity including merch tents, food trucks, and folks of all generations dressed from head to toe representing their favourite  racing team with pride.

On the main stage, hosts were also deep in talks with some of the movers and shakers of the racing scene. Stopping for a moment to soak in the  atmosphere (with the biggest smile on my face haha) I then headed to the Bluebird VIP lounge, for a much needed refreshing drink plus a chance to get a little glimpse of the race track, seeing a few folks jogging and cycling no doubt helping to get their head in the game before the big race on Sunday 6th July.

The magic of the Bluebird VIP lounge is not only is a really cool space with all inclusive food and drink, but is also a great place to centre yourself before heading back into the hustle and bustle of the main arena.

In the mood for being kind to your skin? Then the Bluebird lounge team have you covered as you are also able to enjoy and sample some of the skincare products by Elemis who unveiled a premium activation in partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team in a nod of acknowledgement to Formula 1 leading the way in championing women in motorsports.

Feeling refreshed, it was time to get stuck back into  the magic of Silverstone, and what better way than one of the famous Paddock tours, a chance to get a glimpse of Silverstone behind the scenes and come face to face with well known names in the sport and their teams - the epicentre so to speak where all the key prep and team talks are taking place.

As you are taken around by the Paddock Tour guides you cannot help but feel amazed by all the sites and wonders - team Red Bull to my left, team Aston Martin to my right, team Mercedes up ahead and McLaren just along the way to name but a few. If your lucky you can even spot a few famous faces, and just so happens the stars aligned as I spotted Lewis Hamilton as well as Lando Norris one of the most talked about rising names in Formula 1 racing at the moment.

With the Paddock Tour taking just under 1 hour, my VIP experience continued as I then took a short ride to Escapade to enjoy a fantastic three course meal while admiring the panoramic views of the Silverstone race track.

Described as a ‘Feast for the senses’, they weren’t kidding as everything from the starter, to the main course to the dessert was made and presented to the highest quality with such fresh ingredients. It is making me hungry just thinking about it haha! Fun fact too, if ever you fancy staying on site at Silverstone, then Escapade also offer a range of 1-4 bedroom apartments, giving you the chance to wake up track side and embrace the experience even more - thinking about it I may need to treat myself to a stay at Escapade one day soon!

With day speeding by (pardon the pun) it was time to head back in the carriages to the arena to enjoy some live music in the shape of Manchester band Blossoms and Sam Fender - two titans of the current music scene here in the UK - combine that with the atmosphere of the British Grand Prix then you have a truly epic combo and a perfect celebration to mark the opening of the British Grand Prix.

Blossoms showcasing some of their hits such as Charlemagne as well as sharing a few tracks from their latest album Gary (yes they even brought the iconic Gorilla statue with them too), while the North East’s Sam Fender, fresh off the back of a UK Stadium tour took us through the archives of some of his favourite hits including Hypersonic Missiles and People Watching.

Ending with a spectacular fireworks display, the perfect finish to what I can only describe as one of the most cherished days of my life ever. I have had some truly pinch myself moments over the years, but going to Silverstone and the opening weekend of British Grand Prix is in poll position as one of the best highlights of 2025.

Until next time Silverstone, vroom vroom!

Walking into Silverstone for the British Grand Prix was a rush I didn’t expect, and while I normally stick to online thrills like betting through apps such as https://mostbet-nepal.org/app/, being there in person added a whole new dimension. The energy hitting the main arena was contagious—fans decked out in team colours, merch tents everywhere, and that unmistakable roar of engines warming up in the distance—it felt like stepping into a living, breathing celebration of speed. Hitting the Bluebird VIP lounge gave me a breather with great food and a sneak peek at the track, while the paddock tour blew me away seeing top teams like Red Bull, Mercedes, and McLaren up close, plus catching Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris was…

What I like about PolyTrack is that you don't need to log in or download an app. You can play right away in your browser. The interface is clean, loads quickly, and isn't cluttered.
