Millie Manders and the Shutup Release Your Story Video

MILLIE MANDERS AND THE SHUTUP have announced their new single, YOUR STORY, and accompanying video. The single is the second to be taken from their debut album TELLING TRUTHS, BREAKING TIES, set for release on 23 October.

Your Story was inspired by a short, intense relationship where I was, unfortunately, a rebound,” says Millie about the song. ‘Having being very guarded, it took me a long time to let this person in. They said all the right things and I fell. That was when they decided they had said it all too early. Watching their ‘stories’ on social media and wishing I was still part of them inspired the chorus, the first part of the song to be written.”

To coincide with the release, a limited-edition T Shirt and vest are now available from the band’s official website with £5 from each sale being donated to NHS Charities Together: https://millie-manders.com/

MILLIE MANDERS AND THE SHUTUP create cross-genre punk that’s increasingly hard to ignore. With lyrics that discuss loss, betrayal, anger, anxiety, heartbreak, bitterness, environmental catastrophe and political unrest, they inspire the questioning of social norms without ever missing a beat. Fronted by Millie’s staggering vocal dexterity and backed by grinding guitars, irresistible horns and a huge amount of pop appeal, their live shows are electric.

I love it. It’s refreshing. What a start to my day …” LYNVAL GOLDING | THE SPECIALS

With extensive support from BBC Introducing and Radio X and appearances at notable festivals such as Boomtown and Rebellion, the last two years have propelled MILLIE MANDERS AND THE SHUTUP into the conscience of the public and the music industry alike.

And with the YOUR STORY single and video; the previously released SILENT SCREAMS single and video; the UK tour set to be rescheduled; further singles, videos and a debut album later in the year; and, importantly, a conscience that ensures there will be no plastic wrapping on any merchandise or release, and that limited-edition artwork and clothing will be sold to raise money for health and mental health charities, it’s going to be a busy and rewarding time.

The band’s full UK tour in April naturally had to be postponed. The dates are being rescheduled for when it’s safe to do so, and an announcement on the full tour will follow as soon as possible. In the meantime, several have already been rescheduled as follows:
