MASI MASI SHARE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE 'FAVOURITE GOLD'

New Leeds band MASI MASI have shared the kaleidoscopic video for their idiosyncratic indie-pop track Favourite Gold out now via Bradford based collective The Boy Who Left Home To Learn Fear. Forming in mid-2019 with songwriter Joe McGrath at the helm, Leeds trio MASI MASI were due to head off on their first UK tour this month, armed with little more than their handful of singles. Due to the ongoing crisis, the tour was cancelled, and the band found themselves living in a Citroen Picasso whilst planning their next move. With a desire to still want to create and develop, they recorded their new single Favourite Gold and the result is a juxtaposition of electro and indie pop that feels both timely and timeless. It's an impressive effort from a writer whose deft musicality belies his relatively young years, while drawing influence from electro-pop royalty such as MGMT, Cage The Elephant, Justice and STRFKR. They say; “Favourite Gold is a beautiful and effortless way of living that I can’t really seem to adapt to, and something I see some people wear so well. To me it is an emotion and an ethos, but to anyone else it could mean a world of different things. We’ve been really excited to release this, as it’s the first taste of what MASI MASI is really about, the first of a big family of tracks.” Working remotely, the band and their video director have created an animated music video as well as an interactive online Mixing board to help keep people entertained, which works on your phone too! The video is available to watch now.
