Goat Girl Celebrate Forthcoming Release 'On All Fours' At Rough Trade Jan 27th

Today Goat Girl share a new live version of ‘The Crack’, a track from their forthcoming album ‘On All Fours’, out 29.01.21. Recorded at The Nunhead Alhambra, with set design and wardrobe by Flo White, video directed by Marisa Gesualdi, director of photography by Rob Godfrey, and sound by Dan Carey and Alexis Smith.

Goat Girl say of the track, “‘The Crack’ emerged from an imagined post-apocalyptic world whereby people flee into space for a new life on an unruined planet, as the result of the pillaging of Planet Earth."

To celebrate the release of ‘On All Fours’, the band will be perform new songs from the album live at Rough Trade on January 27th. Further details for the livestream event are here: https://link.dice.fm/BQ0wQ0sjTbb

Their new album ‘On All Fours’ was produced by Dan Carey (Kae Tempest, Black Midi, Franz Ferdinand) in South London in early 2020, and will be available on Black Double LP, Transparent Pink Double LP & CD. It sees the band veer away from the confrontational lyricism of their debut & indicates Goat Girl’s maturing perspectives in discussing the world's injustices and social prejudices, using the music to explore global, humanitarian, environmental and mindful wellbeing. Throughout On All Fours, Goat Girl’s frequent use of sci-fi synthesizers, off-beat chord progressions, analogue drum machines, diverse vocal styles and distinct, gritty guitars fuse a musical language that expresses both former characteristics and newer developments of the band’s sound and vision.
