We recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting Lavazza's flagship store on Marlborough Street, just off Regent Street in London, for an unforgettable afternoon tea experience, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm and attentive staff, who truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. Their knowledge, passion, and friendliness added an extra layer of enjoyment to an already exquisite experience.
The afternoon tea itself was an incredible mix of savory and sweet delights, starting with a delicious chicken and bacon salad that was light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The cheese and smoked salmon pastry was another standout, with the richness of the cheese complementing the delicate flavors of the salmon in a flaky, buttery pastry that melted in the mouth. We also enjoyed a fantastic flaky pastry filled with mortadella and burrata, which brought an indulgent taste of Italy to our table—creamy, savory, and utterly divine.
On the sweeter side, Lavazza didn’t disappoint. The raspberry tart served with cream was a true showstopper, with the tartness of the raspberries balanced beautifully by the smooth, rich cream. And to top it all off, we were treated to not just one but two sweet little cakes —each one bursting with flavor, and a perfect way to round off the afternoon, both filled with chocolate and custard, one of them even had a small gold leaf.
But the real highlight to accompany our Afternoon Tea were our drinks: Capri, a mixture of espresso, milk and hazelnut cream with a bit of foamy ice andLavazza’s foamy ice cream the exclusive Coffee Spritz, the perfect blend between Aperol and coffee, which is an exclusive to the flagship.
For anyone seeking an indulgent afternoon tea with a perfect balance of savory bites, sweet treats, and an unforgettable drink experience, Lavazza's flagship in Marlborough Street, London, is a must. Every aspect of the experience was crafted to perfection, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

GAIL’s Bakery in Richmond offers a delightful experience with its variety of freshly baked treats and artisan coffee, creating the perfect blend of flavor and comfort. On a recent visit, we indulged in a selection of both sweet and savory options that perfectly captured the bakery’s reputation for quality and taste.
The caramel latte was a standout. The smooth espresso blended harmoniously with the rich sweetness of caramel, creating a drink that was both comforting and indulgent. Its velvety texture paired well with the warm, nutty undertones of the coffee, providing the perfect start to our visit.
As for the baked goods, the chocolate chunk cookie was a classic done right. Packed with large chunks of rich, melty chocolate, it struck the ideal balance between chewy and crispy. It was the kind of cookie that leaves you craving just one more bite.
The almond tart was another highlight, offering a delicate, buttery crust filled with a subtly sweet almond frangipane. The tartness was understated, but its flavor was rich and satisfying, providing a perfect contrast to the more intense sweetness of the other treats.
On the savory side, the spinach and feta roll was a hearty and flavorful choice. The spinach was perfectly cooked, and the feta provided a creamy, salty bite that complemented the filling. Wrapped in a flaky pastry, it made for a savory snack that was filling but not overly heavy.
The pesto focaccia was a real delight, with its pillowy soft texture and generous topping of pesto that was fragrant with fresh basil. The focaccia was light yet packed with flavor, each bite bursting with the freshness of herbs and the satisfying richness of olive oil.
