From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the idyllic surroundings. The Birch cottage itself was a beautiful blend of traditional English cottage aesthetics with contemporary comforts. One of the standout features of The Birch was the luxurious hot tub, nestled just outside the cottage. We spent our evenings soaking in the warm, bubbling water, gazing up at the starry Kentish sky. Beyond the cottage, Stable Oak had a unique charm of its own.
The property is home to an array of friendly animals, and each day we were delighted to visit with the resident alpacas, chickens, a charming goat, and two lovable pigs. The alpacas were particularly endearing with their curious natures and gentle demeanors. We found ourselves spending hours just watching them roam and interact, their playful antics bringing a smile to our faces.
The goat was a joy to be around with its mischievous personality, and the pigs were contentedly rooting around their spacious pens, their snorts of approval echoing in the still air. We also enjoyed watching the graceful horses that added to the pastoral beauty of the property.
The location of Stable Oak in Harrietsham also made it an excellent base for exploring the surrounding Kent countryside. We ventured out to nearby villages, wandered through charming streets, and discovered local pubs. Yet, no matter how much we enjoyed our daytime adventures, we were always eager to return to the tranquility of The Birch, where the hot tub awaited us for another evening under the stars.
