A Little Slice of Jeju Island in Manchester: My Skin Cupid Summer Roadshow Experience

If you're a K-beauty fan like me, you'll know that Skin Cupid is one of the UK's go-to destinations for Korean skincare. So when I heard they were bringing their first-ever Summer Roadshow to Manchester, I knew I had to go and see it for myself - and honestly, it did not disappoint.

Stepping Into the Pop-Up

The pop-up landed at Manchester Arndale transformed into a dreamy, Jeju Island-inspired space that felt like a genuine escape from the high street bustle outside. From the moment I walked in, the styling set the tone: fresh, breezy, and unmistakably summer.

I was greeted by the lovely Isabel, who introduced me to the pop-up and talked me through what was on offer. She was warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the brand - the kind of introduction that makes you feel instantly at ease browsing a stand full of new products.

The Skincare Consultation

The real highlight for me was the skincare consultation with Melody. I cannot rave about her enough - she was so knowledgeable about the full range of products on offer and took real time to understand my skin before recommending anything. Rather than just pointing me toward whatever was popular, she helped me put together a genuinely tailored routine based on what my skin actually needed. It's rare to get that level of personalised advice at a pop-up event, and it made the whole experience feel much more considered than a typical shopping trip.

Six Brands, One Weekend

Part of what made the event so special was the sheer range available. Visitors could browse and shop six leading Korean beauty brands - ANUA, PURITO SEOUL, KUNDAL, MIXSOON, MANYO, and DEAR, KLAIRS - with 20% off selected products exclusively at the pop-up. Having that many well-loved names in one place made it so easy to try things I might not have picked up otherwise, especially with Melody's guidance steering me toward the right picks.

The Tote Bag Was a Genuine Highlight

I also treated myself to the limited-edition Jeju Island Summer Tote, and it was such good value - packed with five free travel-size K-beauty favourites. What made it even better was spotting a couple of the exact products Melody had recommended for me tucked inside, so it felt less like a random freebie and more like a little extension of my new routine.

Final Thoughts

Between the beautiful Jeju Island theming, Isobel's warm welcome, and Melody's brilliant, tailored consultation, this pop-up completely exceeded my expectations. It's clear a lot of thought went into making the event feel personal rather than just another retail activation. If Skin Cupid brings the Summer Roadshow back next year, I'll be first in the queue - and I'd urge any K-beauty fan in Manchester to make the most of it while it's around.
